Skirmish in the Shire - a 2-round casual 500pt MESBG tournament on Sunday 23rd February 2025.

NOTE: THIS IS NOT A GBHL EVENT

Tickets:

- Tickets are £10, and are available from https://www.tabletoprepublic.com/tickets

- Refund Policy: please note we cannot issue any refunds requested within 30 DAYS of the event, no matter the reason.

- There is a capacity of 12 players, with a possibility of expansion if tickets sell out

Rules:

- This event uses the new (2024) rules of the game

- Armies should be no more than 500pts

- Army lists must be chosen from the ‘Armies of The Lord of the Rings’ or ‘Armies of The Hobbit’ books or ‘Armies of Arnor and Angmar’ PDF plus any relevant FAQs and Erratas as of the list submission deadline.

- Models should be WYSIWYG to a reasonable level. Your opponent should be able to tell what a model/weapon is just by looking at it. The same applies for conversions and kitbashes.

- Painting is NOT required

- Armies must be submitted by 10pm on Saturday 22nd Feb at the latest to Longshanks directly. Late list submission may cause points deductions.

Event:

- This is a 2-round event, with rounds being 2 hours in length

- This event is meant to be a more casual event than our GBHL events to allow people to get into the new edition easier, hence the longer round times.

- We will be using missions from the Rules Manual. These will be rolled for and announced prior to each round.

- We will be using Longshanks for list uploads, pairings and scoring. Please ensure you have a Longshanks account.

- Games will be played on a 4ft x 4ft board.

- Terrain will be pre-placed on each table prior to the event. Please do not move the terrain unless necessary. Prior to each game, you should agree with your opponent how to treat each terrain piece.

Schedule:

- Doors open: 11:00
- Round 1: 11:30 - 13:30
- Lunch Break: 13:30 - 14:00
- Round 2: 14:10 - 16:10

Please note as this is meant to be a small casual event, there will be no official prizes aside from pride!
