It's time again to present the awards and the results for this season of the Tabletop Republic Warhammer 40k 2000pt league! This blog will go through the missions, the results, and the statistics from Season 5, which ran from January - March 2024.
THE LEAGUE
The 2000pt Tabletop Republic 40k league is comprised of 6 games played over 3 months, with each round lasting 2 weeks. We had 16 players this time around, the same as last season!
Each player is locked into their faction (and subfaction if relevant), but lists can change each week.

Jon won his second league title, going undeafeated with Tyranids.
Paulie and James got 2nd and 3rd respectively, both achieving their first 2k league podium.
The final table above shows the full standings for each player - with their placings based on the following criteria
1. Total wins
2. Oppt. Game Win %
3. Battle Points scored
Each rounds pairings was based on the following: wins > path to victory > random.
THE MISSIONS
As the UKTC missions were edited partway through the season, we used a mix of Rounds 1-5 pre and post-errata, plus a custom mission for R6

The 'Submarine' Award: Nick Hooper (highest position after R1 loss - 5th)
The 'Best Newcomer' Award: Paulie Wallis (2nd)
The 'Bang Average' Award: Rob Steenkamp (3-3 record with closest Points Scored - Points Conceced)
And finally, a special mention to previous league winner Sid Sidhu, who sadly passed away before this season started. Sid was a remarkable player and a good friend of the Republic, and he shall be missed by many in the community
