Tabletop Republic 1000pt 40K League - Season 7 Results

It's time again to present the awards and the results for this season of the Tabletop Republic Warhammer 40k 1000pt league! This blog will go through the missions, the results, and the statistics from this season, which ran from April to June 2023.

THE LEAGUE

The Tabletop Republic 40k league is a 1000pt league comprised of 5 games (normally 6, but reduced due to 10th edition's release date) played over 3 months. This season had 23 total players!

In the league, players must stick with the same Faction throughout the rounds, but can change subfactions and lists.

TABLE

The final table above shows the full standings for each player - with their placings based on the following criteria

1. Total wins (3pts for a win, 2pts for a draw and 1pt for a loss)

2. Points Difference (total points scored minus total points opponents scored)

3. Total points scored

Scott Errington-Baszley defended his league title and got his 5th podium in a row with his Astra Militarum. Anuerin Brewer also went undefeated and came 2nd, and Dan Hounsell got 3rd with his Salamanders as best of the 4-1 placers

Here is the extended table showing each player's win-loss pattern and opponents.

Note: I (Tom Mepham) dropped out after Round 1 to make it an even number of players.

THE ROUNDS

Here I will show off each round - including the missions chosen, the rules included and the terrain layouts

ROUND 1: Ascension

ROUND 2: Infected (custom mission)

ROUND 3: Display of Spiritual Might

ROUND 4: Strike the City (custom mission)

ROUND 5: Reconnaissance Mission

SECONDARIES

Here are each of the secondaries chosen during the league, how many times they were chosen and the average score for each;

As you can see from above, Bring It Down, No Prisoners, Warp Ritual and Behind Enemy Lines were all high scoring generic secondaries, with Chaos Knight's Storm of Darkness & Ruthless Tyranny, Astra Militarum's Boots on the Ground & Inflexible Command and Deathwatch's Cull Order also all scoring above average

On the flip side, Raise the Banners High, Engage on all Fronts and Assassination all scored below average for generic secondaries, and for codex secondaries, Ancient Machineries, We March for Macragge, Decisive Action, A Clean Victory and Purifying Ritual all scored poorly in comparison

Behind Enemy Lines was the most-picked generic seconday with 26 selections, but amazingly Adeptus Astartes' Oaths of Moments was chosen 30 times making it the first time in the league a faction secondary was chosen most overall.
