It's time again to present the awards and the results for this season of the Tabletop Republic Warhammer 40k 1000pt league! This blog will go through the missions, the results, and the statistics from this season, which ran from January to March 2023.
THE LEAGUE
The Tabletop Republic 40k league is a 1000pt league comprised of 6 games played over 3 months. This season was, once again, the most popular ever - with 26 total players!
In the league, players must stick with the same Faction throughout the rounds, but can change subfactions and lists.
TABLE
The final table above shows the full standings for each player - with their placings based on the following criteria
1. Total wins (3pts for a win, 2pts for a draw and 1pt for a loss)
2. Points Difference (total points scored minus total points opponents scored)
3. Total points scored
Scott Errington-Bazley got his 4th League podium in a row, getting top spot this time with his Adeptus Mechanicus. Aidan Keeble got 2nd with his Tyranids, and Rhys Evans finished 3rd.
Here is the extended table showing each player's win-loss pattern and opponents.
THE ROUNDS
Here I will show off each round - including the missions chosen, the rules included and the terrain layouts
ROUND 1: Surge of Faith
ROUND 2: Radzone (custom mission)
ROUND 3: Rise of the Machine Spirit
ROUND 4: Flanking Manoeuvre (custom mission)
ROUND 5: Display of Spiritual Might
ROUND 6: Strike and Support (custom mission)
SECONDARIES
Here are each of the secondaries chosen during the league, how many times they were chosen and the average score for each;
Behind Enemy Lines took the crown of most popular secondary (38) from Raise the Banners High (2nd with 36) this season, with Oaths of Moment (Space Marines secondary, 28) was 3rd place.
It was not, however, the best scoring Arks of Omen secondary; with Abhor the Witch getting a very impressive average score of 12.4! Warp Ritual (10.4) and Retrieve Battlefield Data (8.6) were the other two highest scoring on average.
On the flip-side, Engage on all Fronts (3.2), Bring It Down (4.4) and Assassination (4.6) were the worst scoring AOO secondaries.
For faction-specific secondaries (chosen 3+ times), the best options were Ork's Get Da Good Bitz (13.3), Guard's Inflexible Command (13.2), and AdMech's Hidden Archeovault (12.5)
The worst scoring faction secondaries (chosen 3+ times) were Necron's Ancient Machineries (3.4) CSM's The Long War (4.1), and Space Wolves' Warrior Pride (4.8)
I have also compiled each player's individual secondary objective selection and respective secondary average:
