Conquer Them All - Tournament Report

Updated: Jan 31, 2022

Conquer Them All was a 3-round 1000pt Warhammer 40,000 tournament that took place on the 29th January 2022

RUNNING THE EVENT

The event was a 3-round, 1-day event using Chapter Approved 2021. War Zone Nachmund was released on the day of the event, but due to the small timeframe to change points and missions we kept with CA21 rules (sort of like a farewell tournament for it!)

All 24 players attended, and here's the table:

RESULTS

Rankings were done as such:

1: Win/Loss

2: Points Scored (Total points scored over all 3 games)

Here are the round-by-round results:

STATS & FACTS

Now comes the proper nerdy stuff - here's all the statistics, facts, awards and other fun bits in relation to the results!

Here's each secondary that was selected, the number of times it was chosen and the average points it scored

With this being our final event of CA21, here's some of the key things to point out as we say farewell to some of these secondaries:

- No Marine players used 2 codex secondaries (ie one from a supplement and 1 from the SM codex)

- Engage on all Fronts was the most chosen CA21 secondary, with To The Last 2nd and ROD 3rd

- Warp Ritual was the best scoring CA21 secondary on average, with To The Last 2nd and Behind Enemy Lines 3rd

- With Codex secondaries, Oaths of Moment was the most chosen (as expected!)

- Forward Push was the best mission secondary, with Outflank being one of the worst scorers out of every choice

Here's some other stats about the secondary categories and their average points:

- Codex Secondaries are usually a good pick with the 2nd highest average points

- Purge the Enemy was the worst scorer on average, (19 Assassination, 1 Bring It Down)

- No Mercy, No Respite was the best scorer thanks to Grind Them Down (even with a low No Prisoners score to let them down)

And here's the awards (both ones awarded on the day and ones just for this blog!):

1ST PLACE: Hristo Nikolov (Tyranids)

2ND PLACE: Jake Lovegrove (Chaos Daemons)

3RD PLACE: Leo Pesci (Necrons)

BEST PAINTED: Aaron Dancer (Space Marines)

BIGGEST DEFEAT: Robert Barton (Space Marines) 15 - 93 Matt Woodhouse (Space Marines) in Round 2

CLOSEST GAME: Leo Pesci (Necrons) 81 - 79 Alex Vincent (Dark Angels) in Round 3

MOST CONSISTANT: Leo Pesci - 5pts between highest & lowest scores

HIGHEST SCORING GAME: Leo Pesci (Necrons) 81 - 79 Alex Vincent (Dark Angels) in Round 3

BEST TEAM: Tabletop Republic (it'd be awkward not being the highest placed team having 11 players out of 24!)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

BEST IMPERIUM PLAYER: Jack Pugh (Adeptus Mechanicus, 4th)

BEST CHAOS PLAYER: Jake Lovegrove (Chaos Daemons, 2nd)

BEST XENOS PLAYER: Hristo Nikolov (Tyranids, 1st)

CHAOS AVERAGE POSITION: 8.7

XENOS AVERAGE POSITION: 12.3

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

THE 'FIRSTBORN' AWARD: Alex Vincent (Deathwing, 7th)

THE 'SPORTSMANSHIP' AWARD: Jakub Siek (most friendly, even after being demolished by Jake's Daemons)

THE 'GOLDEN JAKE' AWARD: Jake Lovegrove's Daemons (Jake's own award for most unique list which he wins every tournament)

THE 'SLOWCOACH' AWARD: Michael Meadowcroft (most games that went to the time limit)

THE 'I HATE NIDS' AWARD: Scott Hensford (He'll have flashbacks of Genestealers for weeks!)

THE 'SUBMARINE' AWARD: Matt Woodhouse (Highest position after losing the first game)

And that's the tournament report! Let me know if you see anything wrong (email contact@tabletoprepublic.com) - and see our previous reports from other tournaments!
