Adventures in the Forgotten Realms Prerelease - Tournament Results

Here are the tournament results for our prerelease tournament for the new D&D crossover set, Adventures in the Forgotten Realms.

We had a sold-out event, some very close games and some amazing pack luck!

As this event was before COVID guidelines ended, the event was split into 2 pods of 6 running as separate events, but with 1 total leaderboard.

RESULTS

Key:

  • OMW = Opponent Match Win %

  • GW = Player Game Win %

  • OGW = Opponent Game Win %

Rankings were done in this manor:

  1. Record (Wins - Draws - Losses)

  2. OMW%

  3. GW%

  4. OGW%

Here are the results round-by round.

In the Result column, it is written as such: Wins (left player) - Draws - Wins (Right Player). (e.g. in the bottom right, Richard won 2 games, there were no draws and Daniel won 1 game)

AWARDS

All players received promo packs for playing in the event, with more going to the high placed players, as well as additional draft boosters from the set for the Top 5, and loads more!

1st Place: Joseph

2nd Place: Kieran

3rd Place: Alex

All 3 top players went 3-0-0, and had to be separated by OMW% (see above for details)

Speaking of close players, we had a joint 5th place after Richard & Matt scored the same record, OMW%, GW% AND OGW%!

We gave out 2 additional prizes during the event - one for winning a game with the lowest life total, and one for winning with the highest life total.

Lowest Life: Adam & Kieran (1 life)

Highest Life: Glen (27 life)

Now here's some fun awards & records just for this write-up:

The "Unluckiest Pack Luck" Award: Carissa - 0 wins during the event

The "Close Game" Award: Glen - 2 draws in 3 games

The "Inseperable" Award: Matt & Richard - exactly the same scores

The "Overtime" Award: Adam - most games going the full 50 mins (3)

The "Whoops!" Award: Manager Tom (me) - Mixing up 2 players names in the system and accidently awarding 1st place (Joseph) to 8th place (Luke)

And that's everything! Hope you enjoyed reading this battle report - let me know if I got anything wrong!
