It's time again to present the awards and the results for this season of the Tabletop Republic Warhammer 40k 1000pt league! This blog will go through the missions, the results, and the statistics from Season 8, which ran from July to September 2023.
THE LEAGUE
The Tabletop Republic 1k league is a 40k league comprised of 6 games played over 3 months.
In the league, players must stick with the same Faction throughout the rounds, but can change subfactions and lists.
TABLE
The final table above shows the full standings for each player - with their placings based on the following criteria
1. Total wins (3pts for a win, 2pts for a draw and 1pt for a loss)
2. Points Difference (total points scored minus total points opponents scored)
3. Total points scored
Scott EB won his 3rd league title in a row, with Lee A close behind in 2nd, just losing out on points difference! Tom P was the best of the 4-wins and claimed the final place on the podium.
Here is the extended table showing each player's win-loss pattern and opponents.
Note: Leo dropped out after R2, and Shobi replaced his space from R4 onwards (hence Mark B getting a R3 bye)
SECONDARIES
Normally I go through each player's chosen secondaries, but with the new edition there is far too many to note, but I will quickly compare Tactical and Fixed secondary options:
Fixed Secondaries game wins: 7
Fixed Secondaries game losses: 11
Fixed Secondaries game draws: 1
As you can see, Fixed secondaries are pretty close on a W/L scale, with slightly more losses when facing Tactical objectives.
